Ham, TW10 – Mixed use, new build

Client: Private property developer
Cost: £1.2 million. Completed Nov 2008

The development is on a disused petrol station site. The entire site had to be excavated to depth and backfilled to remove the contamination.

It consists of a new build four storey main building, one storey rear addition with roof gardens to both sections of the building.

It is a mixed use building with five shops to the ground floor and ten flats to the upper floors.
The foundations are piles supported reinforced concrete ground beams. The ground floor is a precast concrete beam and block flooring. The above ground structure is a combination of steel frame to the under croft area for the car parking with load bearing masonry to the remaining part of the building. The upper floors and flat roof were timber construction.
